“Oye Mi Canto”

Growing up a black boy in New York City the song, “Oye Mi Canto” featuring Nina Sky, NORE, Tego, Big Mato, Gem Star and Daddy Yankee was an anthem. It harkened unity between black and latin cultures, as a new sound called Reggaeton was created. I’d like to hear the black community continue making noise on behalf of our brown brothers and sisters of Muslim, Indian and Latin descents. The oppression brown people face is so blatantly relative to the same racism…
